Five years ago, a pandemic and a series of coincidences brought Anna to Mexico. We met at a party that Christian organized on Isla Mujeres, and Anna ended up there completely by chance, it was literally a last-minute idea from her friends, who convinced her to go.
While it wasn’t exactly love at first sight, there was something about that first encounter that left a lasting impression on both of us. The very next day, fate brought us to the same restaurant, where we met again and had our first real conversation by the beach. It was also the perfect moment for that sunset selfie.
The following day, Anna left for the United States with no plans to return to Cancun. But because of the COVID lockdowns in Europe, she had to come back to Cancun before she could fly home. And, of course, we met again.
Despite having known each other for only a short time, we decided to take a chance on us and trust what we felt.
We chose to let our hearts guide us, building our family before following any traditional “rules.” Looking back, the arrival of our two girls was the ultimate confirmation that our connection was not a coincidence, but the beginning of the greatest adventure of our lives.
After five wonderful years of building our life together, we decided it was time to celebrate our wedding.
We may have done things in reverse, but we wouldn’t change a single step, because our story has been, simply put, perfect for us.
We are so happy to celebrate this special moment with the people we love.
